Artificial intelligence (AI) has been the buzz of the business world this year, especially with its unprecedented potential to transform the way we work. Organizations are already harnessing AI to streamline processes, increase efficiency and provide valuable insights that help managers make better workplace decisions. However, concerns still loom about its impact on job security.
At GoGlobal, we’re a people-first human resources (HR) provider and we see AI as a tool to enhance our team’s skills and expertise rather than as a replacement for them. Disruption is inevitable and the way we do our jobs will change. However, we believe that by embracing cutting-edge AI capabilities, we can offer our clients and workers even better service and experiences.
For example, we recently launched ChatGoGlobal, a generative AI chatbot that provides rapid and accurate responses to questions about global HR benefits, employment regulations and employee contracts. This gated platform is unique because it is based on our own closed dataset, ensuring the quality of information is strictly controlled in-house by our team of experts. This sets it apart from other public domain platforms where responses can be uncontrolled, conflicting, biased, and unreliable.
Here are a few other examples of how AI is transforming HR and the world of work, while still putting people first:
Recruitment: AI is being used for automating the recruitment process by using algorithms to scan resumes, perform background checks and schedule interviews. This not only saves time but may also eliminate human bias in candidate selection. By removing conscious or unconscious biases that may influence recruitment decisions, AI algorithms can prioritize candidates based on their skills, experience and qualifications alone. This not only helps organizations to build more diverse and inclusive teams, but it also promotes fair, objective and merit-based hiring decisions.
Onboarding: AI can be a valuable tool in the onboarding process by creating customized onboarding plans for new hires. With AI, organizations can introduce new employees to their corporate culture, provide training and offer relevant resources to help them adapt. By tailoring the onboarding experience to each employee’s needs, organizations can raise productivity and improve retention rates. AI can analyze the onboarding process and provide insights into potential areas for improvement, leading to a continuous cycle of enhanced experiences for new employees.
Communication: AI-powered chatbots and voice assistants are revolutionizing communication in HR. With the ability to understand natural language, these tools provide quick and accurate responses to employee queries, saving valuable time and increasing productivity. Additionally, the availability of 24/7 support means employees can access information whenever they need it – regardless of timezone or language proficiency. This can promote a culture of transparency and accessibility.
Performance management: By analyzing vast amounts of data, AI can identify patterns and trends in employee performance, enabling managers to make more informed decisions on areas for improvement. This not only helps to streamline performance evaluations but also provides a more objective and data-driven approach to performance management.
Talent engagement: AI has the potential to revolutionize talent engagement by monitoring and analyzing employee sentiment through social media platforms and surveys. This allows managers to identify areas for improvement in employee satisfaction and retention, and to develop targeted engagement strategies. With AI, managers can gain a deeper understanding of their employees’ needs and preferences, and take proactive measures to foster a more positive and productive work environment. By leveraging the power of AI, companies can create a culture of engagement that attracts and retains top talent.
Looking ahead: opportunities abound
AI is here to disrupt the HR industry and I’m excited at all the opportunities it will bring. Are you?
